Hollingdean Parking

KM19 OZJ

White Mercedes Sprinter

  • KM19 OZJ is a very large commercial vehicle that has been causing frustration for Hollingdean residents for many years.

  • It is frequently linked to activity at a property on Hollingbury Road (Zone G), where it is often seen loading and unloading building materials directly from the owner’s garden.

  • When not in use, this vehicle is regularly left parked in Hollingdean, despite having no connection to the area.

  • Given its size, it is far from an ideal fit for the narrow and congested residential streets here, making manoeuvring and visibility worse for other drivers and pedestrians.

  • Residents have also reported that this Sprinter is often left with loose items in the rear bed. On windy days, these inevitably blow out onto the surrounding streets, leaving litter, debris, and building waste for others to deal with.

  • This is a common problem with open-backed commercial vehicles dumped in Hollingdean and mirrors the behaviour of BG54 JHU, another non-resident works vehicle that regularly causes the same issue.

  • The problem with KM19 OZJ is not just the space it takes up, but the mess and disruption it leaves behind. It is yet another example of how Hollingdean is treated as a convenient dumping ground for oversized and work-related vehicles, with no regard for the impact on the people who actually live here.
