White Kia Picanto
This white Kia Picanto is another recognised, regular, non-resident vehicle that frequently uses Hollingdean for 'free' parking, always parking as closely as possible to Fiveways.
As we have seen before, the owner's urgent need to park their car as close as possible to Fiveways often results in extremely poor parking, leaving other vehicles pinned in and simultaneously blocking a resident's driveway.
A number of residents have shared photographs of this particular vehicle regularly parking as shown here. The driveway lines start more than 50% up the car, and the driver had - on this occasion - left their car quite literally touching the bumper of the vehicle in front of it. There simply is not enough room, although this driver does not seem to care, given the regularity in which they behave in this manner.
This type of behaviour then leads to two more classic issues that Hollingdean residents have to contend with: vehicle damage as other non-residents try and squeeze in and out, and an inability to drive their vehicles because inconsiderate drivers like this are simply too lazy to park a little further down the road where they might find a little less space.
