EX61 XSC
White Hyundai i10
EX61 XSC is a small white Hyundai that residents regularly spot parked at either end of Hollingbury Road – most often on Hollingbury Crescent or Upper Hollingdean Road.
Several residents have seen the driver walking back towards Zone G immediately after parking, suggesting that the vehicle does not belong to anyone living here and is instead being offloaded into Hollingdean to avoid paying for a permit in the owner’s actual residential zone.
Like many of the non-resident vehicles kept here, this car is often left unmoved for long stretches of time, occupying space that could otherwise be used by those who live locally.
This behaviour adds to the congestion and pressure on parking in one of the most heavily used corners of Hollingdean, all so the owner can enjoy 'free' parking at the expense of our community.
This kind of behaviour is all too familiar in Hollingdean. Instead of taking responsibility for parking their car where they live - something entirely possible with a Zone G permit - the owner shifts the burden onto our streets, knowing they can walk home in minutes while residents here are left circling for space.
