Hollingdean Parking

Black BMW 1 Series

  • Neighbours have raised concerns about this particular BMW a number of times.

  • It does not belong to a Hollingdean resident and seems to arrive and leave here sporadically, sometimes for a single evening and often much longer.

  • This use of our neighbourhood for 'free' parking by non-residents is well documented. It causes additional congestion, traffic, noise, and pollution that the residents here would not otherwise be subjected to. Most commonly, this use of our area stems from either selfishness or laziness on the part of the driver: too selfish to buy themselves a resident permit for the area in which they live, or too lazy to do so.

  • In this particular instance, a number of residents have raised concerns about the way in which this car is left, often seen with at least one (and often two or more) wheels high on the curb, at an angle, which then causes an obstruction to passing vehicles.
