WN06 MMF
Blue Fiat Punto
This vehicle is considered notorious around the West edge of Hollingdean, where the owner chooses to keep their vehicle.
It is understood that this Punto belonged to a student living within the permit zone, who (as hundreds of others do) preferred to use the 'free' parking in Hollingdean rather than obtain a permit for their own residential area.
This added to the significant congestion already experienced by Hollingdean residents in the area, who are often unable to find parking for their own vehicles nearby.
Many reports have been received about the antisocial parking of this vehicle. It has been witnessed on multiple occasions crashing into (and damaging) other parked cars whilst attempting to manoeuvre.
Residents also report that this vehicle is often left parked illegally on double yellow lines, pavements, and across junctions when the driver is unable to find anywhere else close enough to their home.
Several reports of residents finding their own vehicle pinned in on a weekend morning where the driver has pressed their bumper against a parked car and left it there. Photographs demonstrate this.
There is speculation amongst residents that this car is related to HY63 NZU - another student car which uses Hollingdean in a similar fashion and displayed very similar poor driving and parking skills at the cost of local residents.
