Hollingdean Parking

WG54 OSM

Silver Toyota Yaris

  • The owners of this Toyota are residents of Hollingbury Road, in controlled zone G.

  • Despite living in an area with residential parking permits, the owners instead use Hollingdean to park their vehicle, and have been doing for the past several years.

  • As with many other vehicles, the owner of this Yaris makes a point of parking themselves as close as they are able to their own home. This adds yet more undue pressure to an area of Hollingdean that is already extremely cramped and busy.

  • This selfish use of our roads not only reduces the amount of (very scarce) parking space available for Hollingdean residents, but it also means that those same residents are left to deal with the increased noise, pollution, and congestion caused by individuals using their streets as a free car park.

  • The owners could simply purchase a permit for their vehicle and park it on their own street (where there is plenty of free parking). Instead, they choose to impose themselves and their vehicle on Hollingdean residents.
