Hollingdean Parking

RO13 ZCN

Black Volkswagen Up

  • Residents report that this black Volkswagen is another non-resident vehicle, using the area close to Fiveways and Hollingbury Road to store their vehicle for 'free' instead of obtaining a resident's permit for the (permitted) area they live in.

  • It is understood that it moves less than once a month.

  • This is often students living on Hollingbury Road, but residents have reported that there are dozens of similar vehicles stored long-term in Hollingdean (and especially in the area closes to Fiveways in Hollingbury Crescent, Stanmer Park Road, and Adams Close) using our streets in this way.

  • Non-residents using Hollingdean for free parking means that local residents are left to deal not only with the issue of limited parking being used but also extra pollution, congestion, noise, and traffic.

  • We recognise that this particular vehicle stopped using Hollingdean again after approximately a year, enforcing the assumption that this was a student-owned vehicle.
