RJ03 VTK
Green Ford Fusion
Residents report that RJ03 VTK is a non-resident vehicle that was regularly stored in Hollingdean for long periods, most often parked close to Fiveways in the already-congested area around Hollingbury Crescent, Adams Close, and Stanmer Park Road.
This Ford Fusion was not used as a day-to-day vehicle. Instead, it was left in Hollingdean as a secondary car, occupying valuable space while its owner lived elsewhere. Residents frequently noted that it would sit unmoved for extended periods, contributing to the constant pressure on parking in this corner of the neighbourhood.
Residents have repeatedly witnessed the male driver arriving in Hollingdean in one vehicle, parking it up, and then getting straight into another of his cars that had already been left there, before driving away again. This is a deliberate routine, used to keep at least one vehicle permanently occupying space on the street while allowing the driver to come and go freely.
The driver of this vehicle is also known to be the owner of a white Skoda Octavia taxi (DA15 WJD), which was kept in Hollingdean at the same time. This meant that a single non-resident was using two of the very limited available spaces, deliberately swapping between vehicles in order to retain parking in the same area.
In mid-2025, residents began to notice that this Ford Fusion appeared less frequently. This coincided with the arrival of a run-down Volkswagen Golf (LS52 YKN), which now appears to be being used in the same way that this car once was. The Ford has simply been replaced.
The driver has also since replaced his taxi, now using Hollingdean to store a grey Toyota (YF22 FOC) alongside this Golf.
This is not an isolated example, but part of a sustained pattern in which one non-resident has cycled through multiple vehicles, keeping at least one permanently stored in Hollingdean at all times.
The impact on residents has been consistent throughout: fewer spaces, increased congestion, and the ongoing frustration of seeing their streets used as long-term storage for someone else’s cars.
