RF12 JVH
White Nissan Juke
RF12 JVH is a long-standing and well-recognised commuter, using the 'free' parking of Hollingdean as part of their daily commute - continuing on foot towards Fiveways.
This Nissan arrives in Hollingdean every weekday morning, leaving again in the evening, denying access to local residents to what little parking would otherwise be available in the very congested Westernmost corner: Hollingbury Crescent, Stanmer Park Road, Adams Close, etc.
The vehicle displays a valid permit for Zone B (Coldean), making it unclear why the driver doesn't use public transport, rather than clogging up our roads.
Since the beginning of 2024, the driver has been taking a more aggressive approach to obtaining their 'free' parking, deliberately parking it over double yellows, on curbs, pressed entirely up against another parked car's bumper, or blocking local resident driveways. Then leaving their car in that position for the entire day yet further taking from local residents who are then unable to use their driveways either!
These are areas where it is outright illegal to park or otherwise spaces which are significantly too small for their vehicle (residents have shared photographs - included here - where the car has been left several feet over a driveway). There is no way that the driver is not aware of what they are doing.
We have also received several reports of the (female) driver acting very aggressively towards other road users, shouting at them through her window and, at one point, getting out of the car to demand another driver move their car so that she can park.
