Hollingdean Parking

LT23 OHJ

Green Kia Sportage

  • LT23 OHJ is a green Kia Sportage that residents recognise as another regular commuter vehicle using Hollingdean as a free place to dump their car during the day rather than taking responsibility for their parking.

  • It is consistently parked as close as physically possible to Fiveways, which means it almost always ends up in the most congested corner of Hollingdean, where residents already struggle to find space near their homes.

  • This behaviour does not just take up a parking space. It adds to the daily pressure of traffic squeezing through narrow roads, more cars circling and stopping, and more noise and pollution from constant arrivals and departures, all concentrated into the same couple of streets.

  • The owner could park elsewhere and walk a little further, or make proper arrangements in the area they are actually travelling to. Instead, they choose the easiest option for themselves and leave Hollingdean residents to carry the impact of that.
