LS52 YKN
Black Volkswagen Golf
LS52 YKN is a very tatty black Volkswagen Golf that residents have identified as part of the same long-running pattern involving the non-resident taxi driver linked to DA15 WJD (a white Skoda Octavia taxi), RJ03 VTK (a green Ford Fusion), and, more recently, YF22 FOC - a grey Toyota C-HR wearing the same taxi license number as the Skoda.
Residents have been able to confirm that this Golf has been present in Hollingdean since at least August 2024, although several people report that it appears to have been left here well before that.
It is frequently left completely unmoved for long stretches of time and shows clear signs of neglect, suggesting it is being stored rather than used as a day-to-day vehicle.
This Golf appears to have taken over the role previously filled by the Ford Fusion. While the driver now uses the Toyota C-HR as their active vehicle, this Golf is left behind in Hollingdean as a secondary car, occupying space indefinitely.
Residents have repeatedly seen the driver arrive in the Toyota and then move over to this Golf before driving away again. This is a pattern that this driver repeats across multiple vehicles: one car comes and goes, while another is left dumped to hold space.
The result is that a single non-resident has, over time, managed to keep multiple vehicles stored in Hollingdean by rotating between them. Each individual car may change, but the outcome for residents remains the same.
Parking space is removed long-term, congestion worsens, and responsibility for storing someone else’s unwanted vehicles is quietly shifted onto this neighbourhood.
LS52 YKN is not an isolated problem. It is the latest iteration of a sustained and deliberate misuse of Hollingdean by someone who does not live here, but continues to treat its streets as a private vehicle store.
