Hollingdean Parking

LP23 XKH

Grey Volkswagen Taigo

  • LP23 XKH is a fairly recent arrival in Hollingdean, with residents first reporting it twards the end of the summer of 2025.

  • Since then, it has become yet another fixture in the most congested corner of the neighbourhood, parked as close as possible to Fiveways where every the streets are already under constant pressure.

  • The car does not belong to a Hollingdean resident. Neighbours have repeatedly seen the driver park up, lock the car, and walk straight back towards Fiveways, a extremely familiar routine for those who live here.

  • It is clear that Hollingdean is being used as a convenient overflow zone, rather than the driver taking responsibility for parking in the area where they actually live.

  • Rather than being a daily comuter, LP23 XKH is often left unmoved for many days or even weeks at a time, occupying valuable space that the local residents rely on.

  • For those living nearby, it is another daily reminder of how much strain non-resident parking puts on this part of the community. More congestion, more noise, and less access for the people who actually live here.

  • There is no excuse for this kind of behaviour. The owner could easily obtain or use a permit in their own zone, but instead they choose to push their parking responsibilities onto Hollingdean, making it their problem instead.
