Hollingdean Parking

GY75 OGB

Grey BMW 4 Series

  • GY75 OGB is the latest in a long line of cars reported outside of this Hollingbury Crescent home for exactly the same behaviour that has frustrated residents for years: parking fully up on the pavement, blocking access for pedestrians, and sitting directly on the corner of the junction with Adams Close, where visibility is already poor.

  • The BMW was photographed perched across the kerb, leaving no space for pushchairs, wheelchairs, or pedestrians to pass safely. Anyone wanting to continue down the street is forced to step out into the road - a completely avoidable risk on a busy route used daily by families walking to the local schools.

  • This address has become notorious for this pattern.

  • Visitors regularly park across the pavement and double yellows, seemingly with the resident’s full awareness, rather than taking the time to find a legal space a short walk away. GY75 OGB is yet another example of that disregard.

  • For nearby residents, it is infuriating. Each time another visitor decides that the rules don’t apply to them, they put others at risk and contribute to the long-running sense that Hollingdean’s streets are treated as a free-for-all by people with no respect for the neighbourhood.

  • For the sake of any doubt, neither this vehicle nor the others that park in this way display a blue badge whilst parked. Parking in this manner would still be illegal, even with a disabled badge displayed.
