Hollingdean Parking

GY15 TXS

White Kia Sportage

  • We have received quite literally dozens of reports and photographs from local residents about the many vehicles that park on the corner of Hollingbury Crescent and Adams Closeillegally.

  • Parking in this way is incredibly stupid and selfish, it blocks pedestrian access and makes it virtually impossible for other road users to see through the junction between Hollingbury Crescent and Adams Close.

  • These are car owners who would evidently rather save themselves a couple of minutes' walk (by parking in an open space elsewhere), and do so knowing that they put other residents at risk.

  • In every case, it is understood that the drivers are visiting the resident at 6 Hollingbury Crescent and park in this manner with the resident's full awareness, despite the dangerous nature of their parking. The resident has been spoken to by a number of neighbours in the past, and has done nothing to curtail the fatuous behaviour of their guests.

  • For the sake of any doubt, neither this vehicle nor the others that park in this way display a blue badge whilst parked. Parking in this manner would still be illegal, even with a disabled badge displayed.
