GV17 ZWE
Red Nissan Qashqai
Residents report that this vehicle appears on Hollingbury Crescent (or otherwise as close as the driver is able to achieve to Fiveways) every Friday evening.
This Nissan is often left parked inconsiderately, at angles jutting out into the road (forcing passing cars to cross the centre line to pass it), or extremely close to the bumpers of other cars.
After parking, the driver is known to continue on foot into Fiveways, often not returning again for the entire weekend.
Non-residents using Hollingdean in this fashion make it extremely difficult for residents (particularly those in the already-congested corner around Fiveways). It reduces what little space would otherwise be available for residents. It makes having visitors challenging during the weekend as parking space nearby is already taken by non-residents visiting elsewhere in the city.
It also has a considerable knock-on effect to traffic and pollution as residents, visitors, and other non-residents using Hollingdean for 'free' parking end up having to travel further.
