• This van belongs to Power Energy Services - a company believed to be defunct. They do not answer their published telephone numbers nor respond to emails.

• This same van can be seen in many of their company social media posts alongside two others also believed to be abandoned in the area.

• This particular van has been left on Upper Hollingdean Road, unmoved, since the very start of 2024. During this time, the vehicle's tax has expired (at the time of writing, this was nearly a full six months ago).

• The tree alongside which this van has been parked has even begun to grow around the van whilst many months of grime, dirt, and general weather have formed a layer over the van.

• Residents have confirmed that no staff associated with the company lives anywhere nearby—the company has simply dumped this van and left it to rot.

• Perhaps ironically, there are about a dozen different vehicles abandoned along this stretch of Upper Hollingdean Road, many in similar or worse states of decay.

• When vehicles like this are abandoned, they often eventually attract petty retaliatory vandalism from passersby, which then attracts petty crime to our area.

• Non-residents using our streets to dump unwanted vehicles in this manner also pose other issues for residents. When a valuable resource (parking space) is taken up by a selfish non-resident, the area becomes more congested and attracts more noise and pollution as traffic increases, with individuals driving into and through the area looking for a place to abandon their eyesore unwanted vehicles.
