CV60 JWC
Gold Nissan Qashqai
CV60 JWC is yet another vehicle dumped in Hollingdean immediately after the expiration of its resident parking permit for the neighbouring Zone J (Fiveways).
This gold Nissan began being reported by neighbours just days after the permit in its windscreen expired, and then did not move for the following two months. Although it does now move very occasionally, this remains a non-resident car, using Hollingdean for free parking rather than renewing their permit.
Like so many others, the vehicle now occupies space that should be available to Hollingdean residents, despite the owner having no connection to the area.
This is a familiar pattern - once the permit expires, the vehicle is shifted just beyond the boundary of the controlled zone and left in Hollingdean, where there are no restrictions. Instead of renewing their permit or making proper arrangements for their vehicle, the owner offloads their parking problem onto the residents of Hollingdean.
This is just one of hundreds of similar vehicles adding to the pressure on local parking. Its presence is yet another reminder of how Hollingdean continues to bear the brunt of parking displacement from surrounding controlled zones.
