BV08 LPO
White Mini Cooper
BV08 LPO is a white Mini that residents report is constantly found parked at the bottom of Hollingdean Terrace, positioned so that it hangs over the corner of the pavement, which blocks part of the pedestrian route and makes it harder for other vehicles to navigate the junction.
As shown in the photographs, the vehicle is left with its front end encroaching onto the pavement and the rear end hanging out into the road, forcing pedestrians to step out into the road to pass.
This is a particularly problematic location given its proximity to a junction and the narrowness of the surrounding streets. It's also a key walking route for the local primary school.
Residents report that this is not a one-off instance but the owner’s regular parking habit. The car is repeatedly left in exactly the same way, day after day, with no apparent concern for the danger or inconvenience it causes to residents and particularly pedestrians, parents with pushchairs, or wheelchair users.
This kind of inconsiderate parking is exactly what fuels frustration in Hollingdean. Residents not only lose usable parking space but also face daily safety hazards created by vehicles left where they simply should not be, by people who have no connection with the area.
