Hollingdean Parking

BR19 XSX

Blue Seat Ibiza

  • BR19 XSX is frequently found parked directly on the pavement at the junction of Hollingdean Terrace and Roedale Road, forcing pedestrians to walk into the road to get past.

  • This is a particularly dangerous and inconsiderate location, as it is part of a key walking route for families heading to the local primary school and already suffers from reduced visibility due to vehicles parked nearby.

  • The car’s position not only blocks the pavement but also narrows the turning space for vehicles, adding to the congestion and danger at an already busy junction.

  • As the photograph residents have provided show, the vehicle is left angled onto the pavement, leaving no room for wheelchairs, pushchairs, or pedestrians to pass safely.

  • This is the same junction where HJ12 KVX is routinely left obstructing the corner, and just metres away from BV08 LPO at the other end of the same short stretch of road. The result is a street effectively book-ended and obstructed by inconsiderately parked cars, making it harder and more dangerous for residents and visitors to navigate on foot or by vehicle.

  • Parking like this is not only selfish but actively undermines the safety of the community. It is yet another example of how careless behaviour from drivers with no connection to Hollingdean creates daily hazards for the people who live here.
